We did call and email the castle ahead of time to ask questions about the dinner service for those nights, but we never received a reply to our messages. This wasn't a huge issue, but it did detract from our enjoyment of those evenings. We couldn't enjoy drinks with dinner because we had to drive back to the castle afterward. Unfortunately, for two nights of our stay dinner wasn't available at all, meaning we had to drive into town for food. The old menu was replaced with a set menu that offers two options for dinner, only available at 7:00pm. The one disappointment we had was the new dinner service. The staff are always friendly and helpful, ready to give advice for day trips and local sights. We were thrilled to revisit Augill Castle and experience the wonderful service we had enjoyed last time.Overall, we were just as happy with with our room and our experience.
